For irresistible eating as breakfast or dessert, James Martin flips over a fabulous combination of pancakes, buttery bananas and nutty chocolate spread

 

Banana pancakes with chocolate and hazelnut spread

Method

 

1. Mix the egg yolks and whole eggs to creamy batter with the flour and milk. Set aside to rest for 20 minutes or so.


2. Melt a little of the butter in a non-stick frying pan and fry a quarter of the banana slices.


3. Pour in a quarter of the batter. Cook for a couple minutes and then spoon over the chocolate and hazelnut spread.


4. Fold the pancake over and serve. Repeat to make 3 more pancakes.

2 Eggs
2 egg, yolks
110g plain flour, sieved
200ml Milk
50g Butter
2 Bananas, thinly sliced
4 tbsp chocolate hazelnut spread
