Method
2. Add the sugar and water. Muddle until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Add the Bourbon. Fill the glass with crushed ice. Stir.
4. Top up with club soda, garnish with a sprig of mint and serve with a straw and a stirrer.
Cooks Notes:
The American word 'julep' can be traced to French julep, which comes from the Arabic julab, rom the Persian julab, meaning 'rose water'. The drink as we know it today is an American invention.
