Freshly grated nutmeg and cream cheese add flavour and texture to Lesley Waters's recipe for mash with a difference

Ingredients

  • 900g Potatoes, peeled and chopped into small, even-sized pieces
  • 140g cream cheese
  • splash of Milk, eded
  • black pepper
  • grated Nutmeg

Method

1. Place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to the boil and cook until tender. Drain well, return to the saucepan,

2. Mash with the cream cheese, adding the milk if needed. Season to taste with salt, freshly ground pepper and nutmeg.
