Fresh ginger adds an aromatic flavour to Joe Wadsack's creative champagne cocktail - a sophisticated tipple ideal for celebrations

Ingredients

  • 1 slice of Ginger, 2.5cm across and 3mm thick, plus a slither of ginger root to garnish
  • 50 ml vodka
  • a dash of gomme sugar syrup
  • a few ice cubes
  • Moet champagne, to fill

Method

1. Place the ginger in the bottom of a tumbler.

2. Add in the vodka, then a dash of gomme syrup.

3. Add in a few ice cubes and stir vigorously.

4. Strain into a champagne flute and fill to the top with champagne.
