Amuse your guests with Wayne Collins's witty recipe for a rich and delicious apple crumble inspired cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 clove
  • pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp apple sauce
  • 75 ml golden Barbadian rum
  • 25 ml Sourz apple liqueur
  • 25 ml double cream
  • 2 shavings of orange rind
  • 2 tsp vanilla syrup
  • crushed ice, to mix and serve

To garnish:

  • 1 tsp apple sauce
  • 1 tsp crumble mix

Method

1. Place the clove, cinnamon, lemon juice, apple sauce, rum, apple liqueur, double cream, orange zest and vanilla syrup in a cocktail shaker. 2. Fill the shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until well-mixed.3. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice.4. Garnish with the apple sauce and crumble mix. Serve with short straw and a teaspoon.
