This sassy sauce from Mike Robinson makes a great accompaniment to all manner of meats, but is particularly brilliant with crispy crab bhajias

Ingredients

  • 1 small Coconut
  • 1 unripe Mango, sliced
  • 5 green chillies, chopped
  • ½ green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 lime, (optional)
  • pinch of Salt

Method

1. Grate the coconut meat and place in a liquidiser with the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth, adding a little water if the mixture seems too thick.

2. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper and serve immediately.
