Tips and suggestions
- Cooks Tips...
This is all about adjusting the ingredients to your personal taste. You may prefer less tahini or more lemon juice or garlic, for example.
Ingredients
Method
1. Put the chick-peas and the liquid from the cans into a food processor or blender.2. Add the juice of 1 lemon, some garlic, the tahini, a splash of olive oil and seasoning. Whiz to a purée.
3. Check the flavour and adjust as necessary. Once you have the perfect taste and texture, scrape the hummous into a bowl.
4. Drizzle some olive oil over the top and sprinkle with a little paprika for effect.

DO NOT add the juice from the chickpeas. This makes it like a soup! I added 1/2 tin of butterbeans & a whole large jar of roasted red peppers & it still wasnt thick enough! I ended up using is as pasta sauce! NOT A GOOD RECIPE!!!
