Method

1. Set the oven to 200°C/gas 6. Brush the ramekins dishes all over with the melted butter. Cut the ham into strips and line the ramekins with them. Carefully crack two eggs in to each ramekin and top with a handful of cheese. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

2. Place the ramekins into a roasting pan and fill the pan with enough water to come ¾ the way up the sides of the ramekins. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the egg is cooked, but still soft.
