Pears with honey, walnuts and pecorino cheese

Method

1. Quarter the pears, remove the cores and peel. Using a very sharp knife, slice the quarters lengthways into thin 5mm slices.

2. Slice the pecorino in the same way as the pears.

3. Arrange the pear and pecorino slices on a serving plate.

4. Spoon the honey over the top and sprinkle with the walnuts.

I used to order this whenever we ate out in Italy, I lived there until 2005 - it is gorgeous - and I make it at home all the time - MUST be Pecorino though !!
