  • On Riverford Organic Vegetables:

I am total devotee of Riverford. I think it's economical because you don't end up buying extra bits and bobs for each meal. It encourages you to do some planning and make some more creative meals. The vegetables are always lovely and well presented with a minimum of packaging. It's so nice to just get your hands on the veg and not worry about having to throw plastic bags away. The taste of organic vegetables is completely different. A sceptic friend of mine recently came over and started complaining about how much food cost, and how organic food was a rip off. When she tasted a raw Riverford carrot and looked at the box prices, she was completely convinced that she was being ripped off by the supermarkets! You will use less salt, fewer flavourings and have to do less work to make your food taste nice. The extras with Riverford are really good too, such as the beany burgers and chocolate.
