    Margaret and I arrived late in the day to Fern Cottage and were welcomed wonderfully by Sue and Pete. After showing us around and settling us in Sue came by to offer us scones and tea - a welcome repast after a long day. Over the next three days we were treated to wonderful breakfasts including the most amazing bacon, wonderful kidneys, delicately smoked haddock and delicious jam and marmalade, all locally produced or made by Sue and Pete. Sue also let us know that they were making late meals available, and for the next two evenings we came back to personally prepared quiches or cheese plates, beautiful green salads and the best potato salad I've had, at remarkable prices. The experience was the most welcoming and best value B&B we've ever stayed at, whether in Britain or in Canada where we come from. Thanks so much for your warmth, hospitality and of course for the wonderful food. Stephen and Margaret
