    June 18th and June 25th 2008 - Tucked away in the village of Scampston, this delightful shop exceeded all our expectations. From marvellous pork pies (large and small), huge scones, delicious bread and local bacon and ham, to the freshest of free range eggs. A real treat for my daughter was a visit to the hen house, where she collected our eggs, including the biggest egg I have ever seen (poor chicken !) which was a fabulous double yolker. The service was exceptional, making a return visit the following week for second helpings of all of the above!
