    The store offers a huge range of middle eastern and far eastern foods, as well as both organic and natural products. With over 7,500 product lines on the shelves. Taj Natural Foods makes formidable high street competition for local supermarkets. Situated directly opposite Waitrose, the middle eastern angle is undoubtedly the shop’s route to success, “In the past, independent shops, like As Nature Intended, have had successful shop openings until they’ve attempted to open near a Waitrose.” “However, Fresh & Wild and Planet Organic clearly show there is a market for independent organic/natural retailers, so with an interesting slant towards the far east, they’ve sensibly introduced a point of difference, making it easier for them to compete with the larger established supermarkets.” As well as a deli counter, Taj Natural Foods also has its own in-store Halal organic butcher, and claims to be constantly expanding its already large range of fair trade products.
