  We visit Whitby quite often and we always call at Fortunes for several pairs of kippers on the morning before we leave. Fortunes kippers are the best that I have ever tasted and I will only eat the best!

• On The Arncliffe Arms:

  Fantastic service from friendly and dedicated staff. Excellent food, carefully prepared and tastefully presented using local produce. We thoroughly enjoyed the huge bowl of home made tomato soup followed by two main courses of a delicious home made steak and mushroom pie with a suet crust for my husband and juicy scampi for myself. We would not hesitate to recommend The Arncliffe Arms to our friends and we will most certainly return when we visit the North Yorkshire Moors again.
