First of all,the atmosphere is just right. It's like eating at afriend's house but the friend just happens to be a first class chef. It's cosy ,relaxed and the service is unobtrusively sharp - not athing is left to chance. The menu is varied , imaginative and oh so elegant yet robust. The desserts are delicious you just have to put off the diet for another day. As a veggie,I thoroughly enjoyed me filo tartof Med. veg.My Camra husband even had REAL ALE !!!Amost memorable experience during our weekend stay in Essex. We have some excellent retaurants in Wales but Baumann's is now on our list for a return visit even if it means coping with the M25 again!
