Having lived in lancashire for 10 years my partner and I decided to moved to derbyshire to fulfill our dream of converting a barn,
however, after the project we will be returning to Lancashire where we have two hairdressing salons, which is where I first met Philippa. She came into the salon by chance hoping that I could tame her unruley locks. She was delighted and we struck up an instant friendship and a common interest in food. Philippa loves to cook it and I love to eat it!!!!!! The next day she very kindly sent some of her fine foods as a thank you. I have only known Philippa for one year and with in that time she hasn't ceased to amaze me with her genuine commitment and passion for locally sourced produce for her culinary delights.
Philippa began to produce fantastic foods which includes one of my favorites, smocked mackeral with homegrown horse raddish and vodka which has won her the North West fine foods producer of the year award.
When her husband took ill, She decided to start the business to give him an interest. Her infant business took off at once and now she participates in three farmers markets and has won two prestigious awards.
Philippa opened her cookery school about 3 months ago with so much energy and passion she deserves to succeed. We believe along with hundreds more in the north west that Philippa should be nominated for our north west region of the food heroes. She is fantastic and her foods are out of this world!!!!
