A small Derbyshire chocolate making business that's good enough to supply some of the finest foodhalls in the world, like Liberty's and Harvey Nichols in London and De Bijenkorf in Amsterdam, but is also to be found in local farmshops, I'm pleased to say. The chocolates are made using as many locally-sourced fresh ingredients as possible. One of the two partners who run this business regularly attends local farmers' markets and is very obviously passionate about chocolate. He takes a great pride in his products and is both knowledgeable and friendly. Cocoadance sell a wonderful variety of chocolate goods, but my absolute favourites are the dark chocolate truffles (some of the best I've ever tasted - and I've tasted an awful lot!) and the wonderfully rich chocolate brownies. I can never walk past the stall without buying!

An extraordinary range of British produce is on offer here. The meat is superb quality and the baked goods taste every bit as good as homemade. I always buy lots of Derbyshire Oatcakes whenever I visit - the ones they make here are the best I've tasted yet. It would be virtually impossible not to be tempted to buy something here.

There's a good reason that this place is always packed full at lunchtime! I'm no vegetarian, but the freshly prepared meals here are absolutely fantastic. The homity pie is delicious, and the full salad (which contains an amazing array of goodies) is unbelievable. Superb food that's actually good for you!
