On Panorama Pedigree Welsh Pigs:
Posted on 9th of June 2007
Chris Beck and his family are passionate about their pigs, breeding them with welfare and flavour in mind on the family smallholding. The pigs are slaughtered locally to minimise stress to the animal, then expertly butchered to the customer's requirements, our orders have always come neatly boxed and ready for the freezer. This is the best pork we have ever tasted, crackling the way it ought to be, and all from a friendly supplier who raises prizewinning pigs that are happy as well as delicious. You can find them at an increasing number of farmers markets or buy direct from the farm (they also do lamb). Highly recommended!

On Martin's Jerked Meat:

An unusual company with a wonderful product. Jerky and biltong made from beef or local venison in flavours from tantalisingly tasty to eyewateringly hot. Pure, additive free fruit scrolls that are chewy, delicious and contain up to 3.5 of your daily fruit and veg portions depending on flavour (very popular with kids and those watching their diet!). Vegetarian jerky based on marinaded tofu, and the widest range of smoked, dried and chocolate dipped chillis you are likely to find including a chilli roulette that is positively dangerous. A firm favourite with historical re-enactors as well as those needing portable nutritious snacks. Well worth trying if you like food with maximum flavour.

Chris Beck and his family are passionate about their pedigree pigs, breeding them for maximum flavour without compromising on their welfare. Raised in limited numbers on the family smallholding, killed locally with the minimum stress possible to the animal, and supplied butchered to the customer's requirements, this is the best pork we have ever tasted. (They also sell lamb and can be found at an increasing number of farmer's markets in the area) Happy, prizewinning pigs, raised locally for real flavour and crackling the way you remember it.
