Pasta Bake

Recipe Story
This is called "soufle" in Crete, where I lived for about 12 yeaars
Servings:

IntermediateIngredients
1/2 kilo pasta shapes (any will do)
1/2 kilo ham or other cold meats. coarsely copped
1/2 kilo cheese (greek is best) but due to the anavailability of it cheddar can be used. (grated)
1/4 pint of fresh single cream
salt and pepper.
Bechemel sauce ( about 1 pint of milk) in which you will add half the cheese
Method
Place the pasta in boiling salted water for five minutes,drain and run under cold water. Place in a large bowl, add chopped ham and fresh cream and mix well, place in a baking dish sprinkle half the cheese on top and finally add the bechemel sauce on top, sprinkling a little cheese on top of this. Bake in oven (150c) for one hour. Let it cool for about 1 hour if you want to cut it easily or serve it hot if you prefer
