Okra and lamb stew

Recipe Story

Okra, is a green vegetable and every people have in the summer time, because they plant it at that time and some people dry it for the winter.

Servings:

4

Ingredients


1 lb of lamb
2 tbs cooking oil
1 lb of okra
6 cloves of garlic
2 cups boiling water
3 medium tomatoes peeled
2 tbs tomato paste
4-5 cops boiling water
Salt & pepper
Juice of half a lemon

Method


1. Boil the meat until done transfer to a pan and brown with oil.

2. Wash the okra, dry well and cut off both ends.

3. Add the okra, garlic and boiling water to the meat and cook until the water is gone.

4. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces add tomato paste, lemon, water, salt to the okra and the meat.

5. Mix together cook on a medium heat and about one hour until the stew become a thicker.

6. Serve the stew with rice or bulgar wheat.
