Recipe Story

This is a recipe which my daughter was given by one of her friends when she was at boarding school som 20 years ago. We have been making it ever since and it is delicious.

Servings:

Makes 2 logs

Easy

Ingredients


1 packet Marie Biscuits

1 cup sugar

4 tbsp cocoa

2 tbsp milk

185g butter

4 egg yolks

½ cup raisins

Method


Melt butter and raisins in pan on low heat, stir in sugar and mix well.

Remove from heat and add cocoa, mix well.

Beat the egg yolks and stir into the butter mixture.

Put pan onto low heat stirring constantly for 3 - 5 mins.

Add milk.

Remove from heat, leave for 5 mins

Stir in broken biscuits

Form into logs and wrap in cling film before putting into the freezer.
Makes 2 logs.
