Dish from sussex my granmar used to make it for my dad real comfort food a real faourite in the older people i work with older people and when bacon pubbing is on the menu every body looks forwood to there lunch genraly serverd with boiled pots and root vegtables and a light gravey

Ingredients


500grm self flour
25ogrn atora suet
water to make pastery
8 slices of bacon back smoked if u wish
1 large onion sliced
dryed or freash sage
seasoning

Method


make sute pastery sif flour in to large bowl add suet and seasonig add teped water to make a pastery let rest for 30 min then foll out to a oblong.place bacon on the pastery to cover the pestery sprinkle sliced onion and sage season well then roll up to to a cylinde shap the traditional way to cook would be to roll in a muslin cloth and boil for up to 2 hours how ever you can also roll in oiled tin foil and steam for 1 hour serve 1 to 2 slices per person

the recipe is good but why don't they check the spelling before presenting the recipes

I remember my mother making this, and it was lovely! Think she also made it with sausagemeat with tomato sauce on top, real comfort food.
