Magical setting; warm welcome; exciting menu; delicious good value food. Meals look and taste first class with really lovely touches. Taste bud sensation - recommended to all our holiday cottage guests as a real Friday Night Treat.

A warm welcome and excellent food, good value for money - what more could you want. The Boathouse is the pick of the restaurants on Mull

We enjoyed the fabulous "Fisherman's catch" lunch so much, we booked for the Friday evening. Not really knowing what to expect, we arrived to see the Boathouse transformed from the quirky daytime cafe, to a beautifully candlelit restaurant. We started with mackerel and the scrumptious potted crab, followed by lobster (a whole one!) and the scallops. We were particularly impressed when our waitress informed us everything was caught around the shores of Ulva, the only exception being the scallops (which were caught out of Tobermory - hardly the other side of the world!) We finished with an amazing sticky chocolate brownie and home made custard, and the feather- light strawberry and fresh cream meringues. All three courses, including coffees and the unique ferry crossing, was an unbelievable £25 each! Excellent value, especially as we noted lobsters elsewhere on Mull costing upwards of thirty pounds! This was a perfect ending to our holiday on the Isle of Mull. We just wish our next summer holiday would hurry up, we will be booking our return visit to the Boathouse asap!! We highly recommend the Boathouse to anyone holidaying on Mull, and the Isle of provides an excellent day out for keen walkers and wildlife lovers.

A fabulously warm welcome to locals and visitors from the girls. Excellently prepared and beautifully presented fresh, local fish and shellfish. A wonderful experience no matter what you have to eat or drink. Cakes and puddings to die for, too! Great value for money and an expert ferry service. Even if you don't like boat crossings, you feel very safe and it is well worth visiting this super restaurant. I can't wait to go back.

Possibly the best value and tastiest seafood I have ever experienced! There is a daily selection of freshly caught fish and shellfish. I had monkfish pie and it was just sublime. The location is stunning. The restaurant is beautifully laid out, a unique experience not to be missed. Where else can you have half a lobster for £7.50? Four of us had vegetarian food here - it was fantastic, so please add this to your food description or you risk under-selling yourselves and putting veggies off visiting.

What a lovely place and the food is excellent, particularly the prawns - the freshest i've ever had. The two young girls who run the place are doing an outstanding job under the guidance of the ferryman.

We can highly recommend the Fisherman's Catch seafood platter which is delcious and excellent value for money. The homemade soup and bread is also great. We had a lovely time there on Thursday - lunch, a walk and then tea and cake before catching the last ferry back. The ladies are very friendly and helpful. Wonderful food in a beautiful location!

I was blowen away by the girls at the boathouse when i ate there. The food was so fresh and such good value for money! After chatting with the girls i was so impressed to learn that they are self taught cooks and have run the place for three years, they are so young but have so much passion it really shows. They really add a personal touch that so many places lack today.

Fresh and various seafood coming straight off the boats and into the kitchen. Prepared by the skilled and loving hands of the Boathouse's chefs and cooks, under the leadership of the beautiful Rebecca. Ferried too and from this piece of senic and culenary heaven in an old fashioned wooden boat, by a trusted local seaman. This is not just a meal out. Its an experience of a holiday, which will leave a sweet taste in the mouth, laughter in the cheeks, and love in the heart.

The location was fantastic as well as the food. Paradise. An amazin place set on the water edge with breath taking views and the freshest food i ever tasted, straight out the sea and onto your plate! The cakes were so yummy too. It was so refreshing to experience a restaurant with home cooked fresh food. I can`t wait to return next year.

This place was such a welcome surprise as we found it run by two scottish girls, it was the first time we heard a local accent in a restaurant. The food was mouth watering good. we ordered prawns and couldn't believe the monster size ones we got for the price. Well worth a visit!!

This place is magical on a small island off the coast of Mull with access by ferryboat. We visited while on holiday for lunch. The food is fantastic with local fish and seafood (oysters fom the bay and fish from the family boat) combined with the best of local produce with homemade bread and cakes. It's open for coffees teas and lunches as well as the once a week special dinner. Just wish it was nearer Berkshire!

Great local shellfish in an utterly beautiful location! Dinner on Saturday night is very reasonably priced at £25 per head for three courses. This includes the ferry fare which is normally £5. I would recommend the Boathouse on Ulva to all!
