Selling: Home-Cooked Dishes

Committed to the quality of their food, Raeburns sources ingredients from “food heroes”, thus ensuring that it is ethically produced and sourced within Scotland, where possible. They use morning-fresh fish and seafood from Argyll, Scottish Highland meat, and organic salads produced in Skye. They have three different sittings throughout the day, each with a fixed-price menu, serving traditional Scottish cuisine with a bit of a twist, such as Haggis and clapshot filo parcel with whisky and thyme sauce, Roast leg of lamb with Dauphinoise potatoes, minted pear and roast gravy, and a number of steaks from the grill menu, available with peppercorn or Diane sauce.

Dined @ Raeburn's last night ......WOW. The food was simply superb - a taste sensation indeed! We both had steak and these were done to perfection - succulent ,tender and tasty. An excellent and diverse choice of dessert - lots of restaurants only seem to think there is one option - chocolate, chocolate or chocolate. Not Raeburn's I'm pleased to say - loved the sorbet :-). It would've been inelegant to lick the plates but this is what the food merited!! We'll be back.

Best quality Scottish produce, some of it from Paisley's regular farmers market. Fabulous menus, changing regularly, beautifully presented. Big city quality at local prices. Friendly owners and staff, nice atmosphere.

We held a 90th birthday party there last summer and without exception ALL 50 guests raved about the food, which was no mean feat given they ranged in age from 10 - 90 and included 'plain eater's' to strict vegetarians. Kerr and his team came up with a menu to suit all tastes. Service is always excellent without being obtrusive, the restaurant is intimate but informal and the menu always has something to suit everyone: Scottish with a twist! This is a wee gem of a restaurant in the heart of Paisley and well worth a visit.
