JOsh and all at Curry corner have gone through a real transformation since I have been visiting. It has always had an outstanding reputation for excellent food but after the recent expansion my best kept secret has been let out of the bag! Despite this they welcome you receive is as it always has been - warm and friendly. They successfully marry together a wonderful range of traditional Bangladeshi dishes with fusion dishes created using local produce (Newent Chicken, Rabbit, trout etc) I have to take my hat off to the Krori family as they never relax - always hunting out the best in teh local area and introducing it into their exciting and innovative menu. They deserve recognition for all they have achieved. They have a very loyal army of regular patrons and this itself speaks volumes.

Trully unique family run Bangladeshi/Indian restaurant which is homegrown and local in all respects. Established for over 30 years - making it the oldest Bangladeshi restaurant that I know of - the restaurant is run by the Krori family. Sam and Saleha Krori opened the restaurant in 1977 and are the chef patrons to this day, cooking everything fresh and constantly improving their menu which is focused on showcasing excellent traditional, regional and modern dishes from Bangladesh and India using locally sourced ingredients. They make everything from their own spice blends to chutneys, bread, desserts, Bangladeshi ice cream and the produce is best quality. Local ingredients such as bibury trout, local farm hens and duck eggs, wild Cotswolds rabbit, Cotswold cream, local wine and ales are all on the menu and given the Krori treatment to turn excellent ingredients into exceptional cuisine. The restaurant is in a league of its own and should be recognised, Sam is nearly 60, nobody has heard of him because he is busy cooking rather than advertising on television and the like. His restaurant was serving inspirational cooking when restaurants like Cinnamon Club, Benaras and Tamarind were not even open. Sam and Saleha's children are hands on too, son Joshua looks after each and every guest and daughter Monrusha designed the new restaurant and lounge bar which is a homage to their British- Bangladeshi heritage, she also contributes to the menu development and constantly hunts for local produce to feature on the menu. The Curry Corner is local food hero for using and promot
