David grows seasonal fruit and vegetables himself. He grows organically although he has not got certification. His prices are extremely reasonable, his products fresh and delicious and he is always cheerful, friendly and informative about what he sells. Jane D.

I go to Rotherfield about once a month on business and pop into Highgate Florists to buy fruit and vegetables. The produce is of the highest standard and everyone in the shop is very helpful. I wish I had a branch of Highgate Florists in my high street!

Brilliant weekly delivery of an always interesting fruit and veg box to my home, as well as a wonderful one to the Pre-School in the village. Friendly people, wonderful variety of fruit and veg, beautiful flowers. It's important to support local businesses, and this one is fabulous.

This truly is a traditional village shop that time has has passed by, nothing is to much or to little and you get that rare commodity,SERVICE that seem,s to have left most retail outlet,s today. You would have to go a long way to find a man more passionate about his land and the food he grow,s and sell,s than David Harman. You truly can put your trust in this business for all your fruit ,veg and flower need,s (the latter being cared for by his charming daughter) long may they continue.

I recieve a veg box on a weekly basis and am always pleased to see a fresh varied slection of fruit and veg most of which is local produce. It is also refreshing to know that i can feed my family good quality food and not have to pay over the top prices.

This family run business work hard to keep this shop running 7 days a week, as they believe it is important to provide the best service they can to local people and businesses. Very rarely do you find a small business who have fair prices and provide a superb service to the local people. Highgate florist and growers sell home grown products in their shop aswell as products bought from nearby wholesale markets, David Harman attends the market on a daily basis to ensure all his produce is fresh, and if theres something you need which he doesnt sell, he will do his best to get it for you. David has a big field where he grows his produce, on many occassions he has invited me and many other customers to pop down and pick the produce ourselves. David often tells us of his lifelong goal to get his field completely finished so that the whole village can enjoy it , unfortunately this all takes time, something that David does not have a lot of due to the amount of time he needs to spend in the shop assisting in the delivery and preperation of veg boxes.

Delicious local fresh food every day grown in the village when in season; local delivery service and friendly helpful service. All these things make Highgate Florist and Growers a very important focus of village life as well as a brilliant place to shop.

Fruit and vegetables many of which are homegrown on own smallholding combined with a superb florist. Provide a friendly and efficient service seven days a week with free deliveries. Help to keep the village community alive. They fight competition from nearby supermarkets by providing a real local service.

A small family run business. As well as selling flowers they also do a range of fruit & vegetables, local eggs and honey. David Harman the owner is very passionate about growing his produce. He has a nine acre nursery where he grows a lot of his seasonal produce such as Asparagus, Cabbage, purple sprouting, carrots, strawbs, raspberries, gooseberries, to name but a few. His whole time is dedicating to his business and providing a service for his customers. They started of doing a box scheme for the people of the village who found it hard to get out and it has expanded from there. They do not charge at present for there veg boxes to be delivered so it is a real service. So for pure quality and a real service I am voting for them.
