I love the word of mouth, i think it totally rocks in there. They cater for all dietry requirments, it is nice and quiet- but not too quiet, i love the 'honest owl', think that is great. The only thing i would like is some comfy seats, if they got some comfy seats i would come more often and sit and read a book, but the chairs are just a bit too uncomftable to sit in for a long period of time. :( Apart from the chairs, everything about the word of mouth rocks and they definately deserve an award! :)

Great food! Friendly staff! Wonderful atmosphere! A trip to Evesham is not complete without a visit to Word of Mouth. Thanks for all the goodies we've had over the last few years :)

My 2 year old nephew Stanley thinks this place is the most special place in the world because of their cottage pie and their orange cake (and for myself the incredible chocolate-cardamom cake!), and because the wonderful ladies there always greet him by name and give him a "white box" (of goodies). Thank you for truly good food.

It is so nice to find somewhere that caters for people with food allergies. My main ones are wheat and dairy and it is lovely to be able to go there and get a sandwich of some kind for lunch. The staff are lovely and friendly too!

What a find! Friendly, efficient staff and truly scrumptious food. The soups are a real treat - full of taste and lovely veggies. Love the decor and the seating. This is where you come for a real taste of Britain. Well done to all the staff for providing 'proper' food at amazing prices!

Excellent gluten free menu including soup, rolls, sandwiches and cakes. They also do hot meals suitable for celiacs. Wonderful to find a cafe that caters for celiacs as well as doing excellent non gluten free food. Very Happy repeat customer.

As an expat its always a delight to return to the UK and find a tea shop serving REAL home-cooked food where you are made to feel extremely welcome by the very attentive and friendly staff. To whom nothing seems to be too much trouble, Louise the owner is totally committed to providing good quality food from local suppliers. The menu is for ever changing using seasonal produce in traditional and modern and exciting recipes.

If you love coffee and good food Word of Mouth is the place to be! The staff are always happy and friendly and go that extra mile to make your visit an extra special one! Everyone there seems to really enjoy food and Louise (owner and 'food masterpiece-maker') has a passion for making real homemade food with local produce which is so hard to find these days. And no visit to WOM can be made without trying their famous Malteser Brownie... its to die for!!

Word of Mouth is without doubt the best place in Evesham. The range of freshly prepared food, cakes and drinks are always excellent. Louise has created a very special experience and is royally assisted by Jean, who makes a mean cappuccino.

Very friendly, a peaceful atmosphere and a good variety of quality, tasty food. Oh, and great coffee too. This cafe truly deserves the title of Local Food Hero.

I consider we are very fortunate to such an establishment in our small town. We first used word of mouth before we lived in the area and found it quite by chance. We have used it regularly since. The food is always good and I love the fact that they offer such a wide variety and cater for all dietary needs. Just mention to Louise your needs and she will try to accomodate you. There is also her love of experimentation with recipes. For a small establishment it is absolutely fantastic. I always recommend it, when asked for a place to eat or even just a coffee. The staff are warm and welcoming and that just puts the icing on the cake - but shows its a great enviroment to work in. The cakes taste great too.

From the moment you walk in the door of this delightful place you are greeted with smiles and warmth. There is never a sign of anyone 'having a bad day', the staff remember you, and the food is blissful. The mars bar cake is divine, and the coffee tastes of coffee! Its always an added bonus for me that they are independant, source much of their produce locally and are way ahead in catering for a huge variety of diets.Best of luck.

Louise is a Food Hero! With out doubt. Why ? The gluten-free, the lemonade, the glorious soups, the Malteser brownies, the coffee, the company, the team, the family, the chutney, the bacon, the bread, the smiles, the second-hand book shelf, the gallery, the red toilet seat, the extended family, the orange juice, the combinations, the extra touch, the goldfish, the cakes, the whole package. An experience not to be missed when visiting Evesham.

I chose to film To Buy or Not to Buy here as it has the most fantastic food and drink and has a really friendly atmosphere. If I do move to Evesham, I will be frequenting the establishment even more!

What can I say! Word of Mouth – food to die for! You can count on different cuisine to try each week. Excellent staff and atmosphere. Word of Mouth – the best!

Mai1 Mai1 Posted 18 Jun 2008 3:23 PM

Word of Mouth is a superb café and a credit to the owner and chef, Louise, and the staff. There is always a warm welcome and friendly conversation. The delicious homemade food, including bread, cakes, soups, savouries and stews, uses local Vale of Evesham produce and is positively inspired. Outstandingly prepared traditional and modern international dishes are offered with interesting new items each week. Good use is made of organic ingredients and most dietary conditions are catered for with an extensive range of gluten, sugar and fat free foods always available. Drinks are also of exceptional quality and include freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade smoothies. Oh, I nearly forgot, the coffee is brilliant, especially the totally perfect cappuccino!

Rickstar Rickstar Posted 18 Jun 2008 3:12 PM

The homemade lemonade is a great summer drink and I always make sure I have a slice of fat-free Bara Brith to take-away. My children always become fixated on the orange juice machine whenever we turn up. Watching the oranges going around, getting squashed is apparently "better than TV"! The atmosphere and staff at Word of Mouth are welcoming and warm. I highly suggest a stop at Word of Mouth, especially to try the local Asparagus & Pea soup.

Word of Mouth is head and shoulders above other food outlets in Evesham, and definately acts as the ambassodor for Evesham, it makes me proud to be from a town where food tastes this good! Local produce is always used for the delicious food that is made and sold on the premises. I believe that a good cafe does not only require the food to be of high quality but the service and atmosphere is definately a consideration, and Word Of Mouth is rich with all these elements and makes it the hero of our small town!! A huge shout out should go to the owner and head chef, Louise who has added her flare and prowess to what has now become a beautiful cafe, i strongly recommend the Squash Chicken for soup, the Brie and cranberry sandwich, The Pesto, mozzerella and tomato panini.. :P The Malteser brownie and the Mars bar cake!! Yum...x

Word Of Mouth in Evesham is a brilliant cafe that is unlike any other cafe I know. As firstly, they sell food/drink that caters for everybody's needs, with gluten free cakes/bread & also options avaliable for diabetics etc. :) Their freshly made food is really tasty, with plenty of choice for me and my family :) Their malteser brownie and smoothies are the best :) Its a very friendly place to go & I would recommend it to anyone. Thankyou Word Of Mouth :D

Tyler-Tayla Tyler-Tayla Posted 18 Jun 2008 10:50 AM

They make the best brownie 'in the world' - the malteser brownie! I always order it along side my take-away sandwich or soup. There is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the music is great; you can't help but tap your feet along to it. Many of my friends go to Word of Mouth as they cater for gluten free needs through sandwiches, cakes or cooking ingredients. I recommend Word of Mouth to anyone.

footballemma footballemma Posted 18 Jun 2008 10:24 AM

Word of Mouth is a very special cafe as it provides for people with dietary requirements, such as coeliac, diabetics and other food intolerances. The food is all home made from scratch and they make their own soups, stews, jams, chutneys and breads as well as a variety of cakes. The service is always friendly, helpful and with a sense of humour. The building itself has a lovely charm to it that creates a wonderful calming, friendly atmosphere. With the high quality and diverse range of foods and drinks, the majority of which are locally sourced, Word of Mouth really is a hidden attraction for Evesham.
