Farmer Robert Moss has been rearing pigs on his farm since 1993. Having launched Primrose pigs in 2004, he now sells various pork products at Brightlingsea Farmer's Market and has now expanded to GT Bentley Farmer's Market. Moverons Farm is currently in progress in building a farm shop in which you will be able to buy pre-packed frozen pork products. Robert Moss best sellers would have to be his pork and apple sausages and burgers.

Visited the newly opened farm shop and can only say the bangers are the bestest barbeque food ever, no fat setting fire to the barbeque and the taste is just like "your mama used to cook". The kids favorites are the renowed apple & pork burgers, again barbequed a treat. Tried the roast pork this weekend and it tasted just like the pigs we saw when we visited the new shop at Gt Bromley. As far as "Customer Service" goes, well a family run business to be reckoned with, the younger family members are a credit to the business and have their hearts in this in every way, shown with politeness and an honest knowledge of their products. These pigs are Mooooving on up. Oink! Oink!
Primrose Pork is a truly friendly family run business where hospitality is genuine and each and every customer is treated as an individual. Once you have tasted their ‘real’ bacon there will be no going back to supermarket watery offerings!!! Their sausages are super and once tried you will be hooked. Believe me they taste fab on the BBQ. Best of all are their roasting joints – a taste of how meat used to be – the best crackling we have tasted since childhood!!! Farmer Rob, Karen, Hannah and David make this business truly special and they deserve to win and be recognised for all their unseen hard work in making their local business so special!!!!!!
Simply the BEST Best Pork, Best Butcher, Best Staff. I even have to send their sausages out to my family in France since they tasted them on their last visit to us. Nothing is to much trouble. They even make a nice cup of tea
Primrose Pork provides a wonderfully wide selection of top quality pork and other meat products. Their premises are bright and immaculately clean and fresh. As for quality of service, nothing is too much trouble and both younger and older staff are friendly and helpful.
It nice that people take the time to communicate with there customers and advise them on the food that they sell. But the best bit, is in the eating, good quality food that you can actually taste, pork belly, bacon, chops etc etc ...with sausages ooh such lovely sausages, sausages that don't split or spit at you on the heat. I can honestly say I never had such..........no find out for youself, you won't be sorry.......unless you go without. Dogwalker

Great to find a real family run business with care and passion in this day and age. Always wonderful pork items you can rely on and always something new to try - Swedish roast is wonderful!! A fabulous family run business that produces the highest quality free range pork. Have tried and tested many of their different cuts of meat inlcuding their great sausages, wonderful bacon and the best ever home cooked ham youve tasted. My childrens favourite is their pork and apple sausages and of course the great crackling of their roasting joints. Farmer Rob, Karen, Hannah & David have all worked very hard to get their farm shop up and running - they truly deserve to win this award!

Succulent Pork!! Have tried most cuts, from sausages to tenderloin and joints, wonderful. Excellent owners, they all muck in (excuse the pun). I buy mine from the Brightlingsea Farmer's Market and now that they have opened this shop, from there also in between time. There is nothing they would not do for you, wonderful people. :) My whole family enjoy the pork so much better when I buy from there. Thank you and them!!

Primrose porks wide variety of delicious meats are always mouth wateringly good! The added fact that the shop is on the farm makes you realise where your food is coming from. Premier primrose class!

The pork is so tender and succulent and the crackling is such a treat. The Lincolnshire sausages are tasty and the meat balls and sauce lovely. What a treat to have on your doorstep.
There is no better place to get great meat. It's fresh, local and produced by nice reliable people. The sausages must be the best in Essex if not the country - all meat. There's never any waste, no 'supermarket' water or additives, just ideal proper English meat. The sort of meat you used to get at a real butchers, the sort of meat you'd hunt for to feed your family and friends. The service is great too - a friendly greeting and treated patiently with respect. This is the real thing - we should cherish it and use it, as it would be a damm shame to lose it. Good luck to Rob, Karen and family, now and in the future.
The pork is great and really makes a roast, it always looks great but to actually work there is brilliant. it is so fun and you get to meet so many people. it is great to hear the feedback from everyone so it i a great job to have, Rob and Karen are so nice! Beckie x x x
The pork is sold fresh and frozen. All products are produced on the farm so there is no food miles. The pork is cut as per requirement by Robert. Supplies a few local pubs and farm shops. The newly built premesis has been designed and built by Robert with the aid of a DEFRA grant,using all recycled building materials.The final shop is very clean and bright. The surroundings are peaceful in the middle of a field with rows of trees that were planted with a woodland Grant. Someone described Primrose Pork as a little gem waiting to be discovered.

The products are excellent. Robert breeds the pigs himself. The meat,bacon and sausages taste like the used to and are delicious. The shop is clean and ths staff are very friendly and helpful.
tHIS FANATASTIC FREE RANGE PORK OUTLET HAS LOVELY SUCCULENT PORK THAT TASTES GREAT
One of the nicest couples you could meet, they have reared there own free range pigs on there farm at brightlingsea in essex, but sell there meat in great bromley in there farm shop. you have to try there 'Best' pork sausage so full of favour with soft skins that fry lovely.They open only on fridays and saturdays have a good selection of free range pork to siut all needs.Go on give them a look.
