We found the menu to be well thought out and the food was perfectly cooked and presented. That aside, the factor that really stood out was the service - efficient, friendly and polite. We will be going back for more!

What a great find this was! Being a big supporter of the local economy i was very pleased to find somewhere going out of its way to source local produce and presenting it with such imagination. Delicious! I drive past everyday on the school run and reading the amusing anecdotes on the chalk boards outside always has us giggling. This place is an all rounder, weather its a romantic meal for two or a family sunday lunch we just cant get enough!

Mya lacarte is special for it's warm and welcoming atmosphere, the friendly and helpful service, the menu options to suit all appetites, the excellent quality of both the food and drink on offer - that together combine to make a reliably enjoyable afternoon or evening out with friends and family. I very much look forward to my next visit!

Mya Lacarte provide an excellent service and great value for money, i would happily recommend this resturant to family or friends. Their Sunday Beef Roasts are legendary! They never fail to satisfy.

An absolute jewel of a restaurant. Everything you desire in any eating experience, and more! The fact that ingredients are sourced from the best local and sustainable food producers, not only provides one with a suitably clear ethical conscience, but fills you with pride, that your near neighbours supply the materials for Myalacarte to add their magic. And magical it is! The seasonal fare served here, is the epitome of everything good about British food and is by far, the best example of the recent evolution undergone by cuisine in this country. Most importantly, every dish they serve, is cooked to perfection. The food enjoys the paradox of appearing traditional and simple, yet somehow modern and complex. The taste is always exquisite. The atmosphere of the restaurant (never the easiet thing to attain) is spot on. You can enjoy a romantic meal, dine with friends or treat the family. Myalacarte is perfect for everyone with a love of great food. The staff are fantastic! The service is the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. They are all able to share their knowledge and love of food. Very friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much effort.

An ideal local restaurant, presenting top quality local produce. The front of house staff are obviously as enthusiastic about food as the chefs! The menus and wine list offer ample choice for a small restaurant and portions are generous - particularly the desserts. Why pay a lot more for 'frills' in the town centre when a restaurant offering food and service this good is available?

Mya Lacarte never fail to wow me with their fantastic seasonal menus every time I visit. Their Sunday roast Hampshire sirloin of beef with yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes is to die for!

I watched the transformation of the build of Myalacarte with much excitement and booked a table almost as soon as the doors were opened, that was almost a year ago and my family and I have visited this beautiful restaurant at every opportunity since!Everyone is always given the warmest of welcomes by Matt , Yasmina and the team , the setting is modern and elegant. The food is some of the finest I have ever eaten Remy the chef is a star...whilst being a French man his heart is in the finest British produce. The menu changes to suit the season with a fantastic launch night , with a 7 course tasting menu with matching wines...delicious! But my favourite time is when we go for Sunday lunch with the kids and have the best roast ever.

My husband and I feel that we've finally found a restaurant in Reading that matches strong ethics to the right audience. The welcome is warm, the decor inviting and the food, simply amazing. We've found ourselves having to go back regularly to ensure we sample each dish on the seasonal menu before it's too late (the menus change four times a year) but then miss out on having our favourites more than once (the air-dried ham and coleslaw for one)! After numerous changes of ownership to the premises, I think that the new owners have struck gold with their concept and hope they continue to build on their success. What more could you want, British produce, in season, cooked well and served with style.

A talented new brother and sister led team bringing new standards of innovation and flavour to Caversham with a constantly varying menu based on the best of local produce.

Top quality food from an inventive chef. All of the staff here seem to care about what they are doing are very knowledgable about the food and wine. Lucky for me I live within walking distance but event if i didn't it would be "worth the detour".

I first ate here 10 months ago, I believe shortly after they opened, having just moved house. I can't believe my luck at having this place within walking distance. I would happily eat here every day if I could because not once have I, or the guests who’ve accompanied me, been disappointed by the beautifully cooked, locally sourced, seasonal food, the wine, the service or the atmosphere. It's worth coming often to try everything you possibly can from the menu because seasonal dishes, by their nature, don't stay on there very long. Everyone I know who has eaten there is overcome with jealousy if I mention I’m planning a visit with someone else, but I can’t resist suggesting it as a venue every time a dining opportunity arises! It is simply the bee’s knees.

Walk by nearly every day and kept meaning to book a table - wish we had done it sooner. Great food with friendly, cheery staff. We are spoilt to be within walking distance of such great food. The cheese is provided by an ex neighbour of mine and is highly recommended!

The atmosphere is wonderful with extremely friendly and charming staff front of house. The menus change regularly and are small enough to signify the attention to detail that can also be seen elsewhere in the restaurant. The food is nothing short of brilliant. I have been a number of times now, both with my wife and also in a large party. On all of my visits the food was of consistently excellent quality and presentation. I am looking forward to my next visit. Very highly recommended!

The food is based on local and seasonal produce and is simply cooked to bring out the true flavour. It really is sensational food. The staff are also fabulous from Remy the Head Chef to Matt and Jasmina who run front of house. You are always assured a very warm welcome. The menu rotates every 2 to 3 months to complement the latest seasonal and local produce. All ingredients are sourced as close to the restaurant as possible and there are some real treasures like Honey from Mapledurham and cheeses from Riseley and Spenwood which we otherwise would not have known about. 11 / 10.

Valentines Night - Mya Lacarte From the minute we arrived to the second we left the whole experience was fantastic. The service was friendly attentive and slick, the menu a gastronomic delight. The salmon starter was a dream, followed by an exquiste duck breast with fresh new potatoes and sprouting broccoli. Taste, texture and presentation were excellent; not a scrap left on any plate. The choice of the 'special' valentine medley of desserts was inspired all consumed with aplomb. Wine selection and coffee were good, if quite traditional. The whole ambience was great, not too 'corny' for Valentines day, but romantic enough too make the night special. Jasmina's long wooly socks were a joy to behold, as was the whole night. Would we go back, of course but maybe not just on Valentines!

Local British food with a twist. All produce is sourced as local as possible. The restaurant has been built by the people who now work in it, so every corner of the restaurant has love glowing from the walls
