Stoney End is a fantastic and relaxing experience. There was the warm welcome and contact with the hosts, the decor and the cleanliness of our extremely comfortable Wensleydale room, the superb breakfasts, the fine and quiet music in the morning and the possibility to use the sauna of Mike and Pamela. We never found a better B&B and will certainly recommmend it to others. Valère & Rooske, Stevoort, Belgium.

Memories of this delightful B&B & the delicious breakfasts enjoyed 5 years ago, were the reasons for our recent visit. The accommodation has been upgraded and is even more comfortable-especially the beds. Pam and Mike made us very welcome and even provided a weather report with our breakfast. THE BREAKFAST/ never enjoyed a better one anywhere. Sid and Thelma, Coventry.

A lovely warm welcome and a fantastic room. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay totally wonderful. The breakfasts are of the highest quality and extremely tasty and filling. We will definitely recommend Stoney End to everyone we know holidaying in the Dales.

Wonderfully quirky bedroom, which was extremely comfortable and cosy - perfect for the occassion- in a delightful cottage with a very welcoming atmosphere. A breakfast menu of great choice, with all foods locally sourced, and excellent quality which set us up for a day in the Dales. All topped of with fantastic views. We will definately be returning as soon as possible.

Yes, a very warm welcome and nothing being too much trouble. The breakfasts were as others have said - as good as it gets. Fresh local produce of the highest standard, so good in fact that we went to their local butcher to buy supplies to take home! A place we would not hesitate to return to when in the area again.

My first posting was in 2007 and I would not have thought that they could improve on that but yes they have - new properties with amazing standards new facilities for all to use - we are always delighted by the standard of the bedding and the cleanliness of all the properties ( we have stayed in 3 different ones, some of them many times )but the one thing that always amazes me is that although Pam could simply buy food from a known major retailer - she does not, she sources local and traceable food which is amazing and in an extreemley rural location must be difficult

Stoney End is heaven. Our best ever find in the Yorkshire Dales.Tucked away in a tiny village in Wensleydale, even the view from the carpark will blow you away!(it's the same one you get from the rooms by the way!)The welcome, the rooms, the food are all wonderful, we go back time and time again, looking forward to each visit is as nice as being there, thinking about those breakfasts!.....we can't find better.

this is a brilliant B & B and self catering venture - the breakfast which is available to all needs to be seen to be believed - the list of local suppliers (which is on the website)from the milk to the fish is astonishing - the quality unbeliveable - and their local reputation is amazing (Pam is famous for her breakfasts)- we have returned time and time again
