Walkers Chocolate Emporium
Selling: Chocolate
Established in 1996, when they made chocolates at home to sell in their shop, they have now expanded and diversified in to opening a Chocolate Emporium where customers will find a chocolate shop, theatre, museum and café. Here you can watch chocolate being made, learn about the production and history of chocolate and browse around their chocolate collections. Walkers Chocolate Emporium also offers sugar free, dairy free and gluten free chocolate.

If you go at Lunch Time then the Door Step style sandwiches are a must.....Ham,Brie & White Grape is my favourite
If you visit North Devon, don't leave without a visit to Walkers Chocolate Emporium. If you have already left North Devon, and have missed out on a visit to Walkers Chocolate Emporium, then come back very quickly and seek out a unique chocolate experience.
What a place.... as a chocolate lover this is my mecca. The atmosphere, the chocolate, the cafe, the chocolate, the cool museum, the chocolate, and did i mention the chocolate. I tried one of their hot chocolates in the cafe upstairs, couldn't event finish. To the chocolate gods, thank you for providing such a wonderful place - only one suggestion though, open more shops near me please!
this shop has a great atmosphere which is both fun and knowledgable.the temptation starts as soon as you enter and continues upstairs to the cafe and museum.the staff are all pleasant and helpful and will do eveything they can to find you the product you require. the personalisation of a range of their products also adds that extra touch. no common old chocs found here, only good home made, georgeous tasting, quality products.
Walkers Chocolate Emporium is the most complete experience of chocolate that you could ever wish for. Owners and staff are very helpfull, pleasant and knowledgeable about the products they sell. The visit here made our trip from Greece even more enjoyable.
Walkers Chocolate Emporium is one of Ilfracombe's great success stories. Run over two floors, it is such a treat for locals and tourists, as you can start your experience buying chocolates and sweets in the shop, then sit down in the Theatre of Chocolate and watch a short film to see how Linzi produces their product, go upstairs to the Museum to see all the modern and historical chocolate items on display (see yourself in their special mirror - you have to see it to believe it), and finally finish off your visit in Cafe Cocoa - where you can order from a large menu that includes many types of chocolate drinks, coffees, fresh food, cakes and four different varieties of cream teas (traditional, chocolate, savoury and honey). Owners Nigel Walker and Linzi Takagi work tirelessly making chocolates to put in their shop, which is open six days a week. They listen to their customers and are constantly thinking of new ideas to entice people in. Linzi and Nigel also like to support local businesses, and where possible, supply their cafe with either Ilfracombe or South West produce. Walkers Chocolate Emporium is a haven for locals who just want to relax on a sofa with a cup of tea in the cafe, and a unique treat for tourists who visit Ilfracombe. We are so lucky to have them. (And yes, I am one of those very grateful Ilfracombe residents with a sweet tooth.)
