The Bulls Head

Gastropub

Selling: Drinks, Home-Cooked Dishes

Bistro-style food is served here; all dishes are home-cooked, with the menu varying daily depending on what ingredients are fresh and available, from their local suppliers. They are a Robinson’s pub and therefore stock Robinson’s ales, and even use their Stockport beer in the beef stew. Everyday they have a least one option with fresh fish, chicken, and two vegetarian meals. They create interesting recipes for ingredients in season, as with a current summer dish of ‘Guinea fowl, Pistachio, Smoked bacon Tagine with Apple and Sultana Chutney’ and their ‘Leek and Tarragon’ soup. Even the bread is baked on the premises, and homemade desserts such as mulberry cheesecake and lemon curd sponges, biscuits and cheeses are all available.

Dripping roast potatoes...Mmm! All of the food is delicious but made even better by the lack of a french fry anywhere. Real Ales. Fabulous setting. And a very welcoming Landlord and Landlady.
