In my opinion Delifonseca serves the freshest food in Liverpool; the menu is excellent, especially for veggies (and cheese lovers), and the service is very friendly.

Sophisticated yet chilled ambiance. Friendly staff who love the food they serve and know about it. Probably best mixed menu in Liverpool for veggies with meat eating friends. My favorite place to eat.

Its a joy to eat in here. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is just divine. There is a great selection of veggie, fish, and meat dishes all beautifully prepared. The deli downstairs is an added bonus and the selection wide and varied. Just go and enjoy!

It's just foodie heaven, to be honest. Not only is there an awesome deli downstairs, but the restaurant upstairs offers a truly inspired menu, beautifully prepared and presented, and served by very friendly staff. Even if you've only got time to grab a 'poh boy' and a glass of wine, Delifonseca is well worth a visit.

This place is AMAZING... and you HAVE TO go if you love your food... not only is the restaurant upstairs a delight to dine in, but the deli downstairs is just delicious to meander round... Everyone should have their sanctuary like Holly G has in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' ... and this is mine ... the products on offer are 2nd to none, and the Anchovies with garlic are just to DIE FOR ... I am often found near the deli scoffing the ancovies before I even get out the deli... LONG LIVE DELI FONSECA and thank you for filling the HUGEST GAP for great food (eating in and taking away) in Liverpool!!!!!

Delifonseca is an oasis of not just fine food or good food but fabulous and astonishing food. The pickles, condiments and sauces are all top notch and some of the best I have tasted. Clearly Candice loves the products and doesn't just order in what looks good. Particularly good are the Emiliana range of vinegars - try them!! There is a very good cheese counter as well stocking excellent local as well as unusual cheeses, such as Sykes Fell ewes milk cheese and Stinking Bishop. Charcuterie is particularly special. Delifonseca have the finest ham I have tastes, the shropshire black ham. Their homemade one is almost as good - deep, caramel-sweet, spicy and juicy. This is ham like no other. The home roast rare Welsh Black beef is also divine beyond imagining. Great artisanal chocolate and coffee too, and superb sandwiches with imaginitive and delicious fillings, such as herby salmon, and chicken and mushroom. Upstairs is an airy and informal restaurant which is nothing short of inspired. The set menu is quite basic but in a good way - just well conceived sandwiches and platters - the muffaletta sandwich is utterly divine and an absolute revelation. Mains and specials appear on the blackboard. I had an Iranian beef dish with dried limes - rich, untuous and hearty. And fab - a decent restaurant that sells decent local beer! Brilliant 10/10!!!

This restaurant deli is a breath of fresh air. Food is delicious, affordable plus there's always a surprise as the blackboard menu has at least 8 specials on each day. Buzzing at lunchtime the evening vibe is laid back and relaxed although many locals haven't cotton onto the fact its open late and is even better in the evening! All that and the delicatessen adds a new dimension to convenience shopping. The shop is open till 9pm so means city living supper time has taken a tastier dimension. I can either pick-up a deli meal or all the constituents ingredients for one my own! Don't know what I did without it.

Not only does the deli below the cafe sell all the cheeses, olive oils and cold cuts you have just stuffed yourself with so you can take more home, it stays open until 9pm too. The staff are helpful and have time to chat and sell local produce such as Mrs Kirkham's cheese mix with superior European produce. The cafe has good home cooked meals or takeaway sandwiches to die for. Best of all are the chips.......they are FANTASTIC!!!!!
