Established twelve years ago, Tarelgin Farm Foods has been selling local fruit and vegetables from Mauchline and meat from their own farm and other Scotch produres. First visit was going into an Alladins Cave full of meat, cakes, ready meals and all served with "attitude"...friendly that is. So good went back Christmas week. When was the last time you saw a butchers queue of some 30 people, full car park and overflow of at least 20 cars. Says it all................try the sticky toffee pudding and chicken cababs NOT TOGETHER.....wonderful!
I order from them for special occasions and the produce has always been very good, in fact sone of the best chicken I have ever had. Ordered from them for Christmas and there was a bit of a problem with delivery, they sorted the problems with no issues and sent out a new box straight away. Not only is it good food but good customer service as well.

I am very fortunate to live only a few miles away from the farm. The quality of meat is superb and the prices are the best around. They always have special offers on. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much bother. They make the best steak pies in Sotland. I go every week and I have never had occasion to feel disapointed. Not once have they ran out of anything, and if something special is required it will be butchered especially for you. The smokehouse and shop are great too, they sell locally produced ice creams, sell fresh fruit and veg, and condiments. It is always busy, and once tried you will never go back to meat that has travelled half way around the world to hit your table!
visited this wee farm shop on saturday for the first time it came recommended by workmates wouldnt go anywhere else now there t bone steaks were to die for and there bacon is the way i remember bacon tasting when i was young and nothing seems too much trouble for there assistant well worth a visit
i travel 50 miles once a month to go to tarelgin there meat is superb you always get a friendly welcome and a hi ya from staff well worth a visit and try there flavoured ribs there brilliant
nothing ever too much trouble for the staff if they havnt got what your looking for on the day you ask you can be guarenteed they have it for you a couple of days later even a phone call to tell you its there cant be beaten for service
Tarelgin is a fabulous place to shop. The service is always extremely friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The quality and value is fantastic, once you have shopped there you never go anywhere else. The best steak pies on the planet and my husband loves their Cumberland sausage.
