The White Bull Hotel is a Grade II listed building, which was used as a coaching house in 1865, and has a long tradition of providing good food, accommodation and warm hospitality. All of their meals are cooked to order using only the freshest of ingredients. The owners are keen to support Lancashire’s farming community through sourcing as much local produce as possible. Their menu offers a range of traditional British dishes including fish and chips and their signature Dish, “Lancashire Steak”, a fillet steak cooked to your liking, topped with Lancashire cheese, drizzled with a benedictine sauce and served with Jenga chips and vegetables.

View all reviews (13)Me, my 2 brothers and sister first came to the White Bull in 2004 as we treated our parents to a meal for their wedding anniversary. Kathryn the owner and landlady served us during the evening, she is warm, friendly, charming and very funny. The food is truly stunning! I had the stilton mushrooms which were rich but extremely addictive, I then had a steak which was cooked to perfection and quite literally melted in my mouth and then for dessert I had the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake which was light and rounded the meal off perfectly I have since come back to the white bull time and time again as the food is so good and the welcome is even better!

Stayed recently, the countryside is beautiful, but after a long walk, The White Bull is what you need - great food and beer, friendly staff and comfy beds - looking forward to my next visit!

The food, the wonderful staff, the warm greetings and friendly ambience, the location and the prices. Everything you could wish for.
I have travelled the world, seen the best and the worst this world has to offer as far as accommodation and food is concerned. The White Bull in Lancashire is truly out of this world. Superb food, accomodation and the friendliest people one could wish for. They will definately see me again. The only down side is the pounds I have to shed after so much REAL food when I get home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
