Three hundred years down the line and this 17th century Welsh Coaching Inn by Skenfrith Castle is now an award-winning restaurant serving real ale,wine and unfussy seasonal dishes made from local ingredients. Since opening in 2001, The Bell at Skenfrith has been serving meat from nearby Bower Farm and cream from local Jersey cows. This year it will be growing its own vegetables, herbs and salads.

good location if the weather is fine, food ok but on the expensive side. service a bit slow
