A first rate butcher. Not only do they have a wide knowledge of cuts and breeds but because they specialise in traditional breed meat it is of particularly high quality and has complete traceability.
They only supply local British rarebreed beef, lamb and pork. The staff are all very knowledgable on what cuts and how to cook them. They also have a deli and cook ready meals on site, again using local ingredients, which is hugely popular, especially at lunchtimes! I supply them with my Jacob lamb and again they are very helpful with the booking in at the abattoir.
The meat from names rare breeds is out of this world and there's total transparency as to where they're from (local farms) and what breeds they are. This gives a whole new dimension to choosing the Sunday roast or even a chop. The sausages, bacon etc is alos the best for a long distance around and the staff are always polite and helpful. You can also get pies and ready meals made there that are sooooo good - flavoursome and bursting with lean meat - that it's all just so wonderful.
