Mike cares, basically it is as simple as that. He cares about the quality of his produce, he cares about the quality of his service but most important of all; he cares about his customers. He is also witty charming and extremely handsome, but that's beside the point!

A really pleasant, friendly, service. Extremely good quality meat, paticularly the beef and sausages. So good that they still manage to run a thriving business, even though a well known supermarket chain has been allowed to build nearby! Fantastic

What a fantastic buchers shop. We only stopped by on the off chance at 4.45 one day. Got great stuff for a bbq- the burgers, sausages and lamb kofta's were sooo tasty we went back the next day. (The kids loved the lamb lollipops..) Fab bloke, very helpfull and friendly. The butchers shop smell reminded me of my youth with the lovely smell of the fresh cooked pies and hams. Also very delicious are the fruit pies with local clotted cream...mmmmmm!!

Mike's pasties are legendary, I recommend particularly, both the Cornish & beef & stilton. All his meat and special items are of the best quality. Mike and his staff give the impression that they have all the time in the world to deal with you and want your custom. That's a rare quality nowadays in the world of large supermarkets. I guarantee that if you try Mike's shop you won't want to go anywhere else.

This family Butcher has always been part of my life, all 43 years of it. I now live in Dorset but travel back to Ilfracombe to buy Mikes fresh produce. Mike sells local meat and a huge variety of home cooked products, as well as cheese and local laver (when in season). They are also fabulous at outside catering and are always taking part in fundraising for the local community.

A real oldfashioned family butcher selling fabulous and locally-famed sausages, great pies, and superb meat from local sources (apart from a long list of exotic meats.) The best butcher for miles - and he's got a great sense of humour too!
