Making the best of local produce as well as offering local people the very best produce from other places - the perfect deli! Really contributing to the 'up and coming feeling' of Kingsbridge, and their Red Earth Kitchen ready meals are delicious, just like you've cooked it yourself from scratch! Keep it up guys - you get my vote.

Red Earth Deli is unique to the South West. The passion for not only the produce they sell, but the way it is sold compliment eathother perfectly. They have accomplished a sancturary of culinary delights and a 'good old shopping experience'; something that is not that common these days.

We discovered the Red Earth Deli whilst on holiday and were so impressed and inspired. We could spend ages there, enjoying their delicious food, and then take something wonderful home with us. Back home in Buckinghamshire, I wish we had a Red Earth Deli.

We use this delicatessen very often as it is local, goodvalue for money and very practical. Its ready made meals are delicious and we use them for various different occasions. The service in there is very good, they can always give you exactly what you want, and tips for an even greater meal. If the Red Earh Deli ever moved away things would be a lot less easy when it somes to meals, and we would really miss it! I go there nearly everyday I am visiting the South Hams. We use the fresh baguettes, pain au chocolats (fresh and warm for when we wake up for a really nice breakfast), the cheese and pates, not because we have to but because it tastes so good! A vote for the Red Earth Deli, is a very very very very well used vote!! WE LOVE YOU RED EARTH DELI!!!!

Working in Kingsbridge I pop in regularly for a sandwich - all freshly made - and find it hard to resist their flapjacks too! Great place to meet friends for a coffee or lunch and the ready made gourmet meals are perfect for after work time savers.

Having spent last week camping in the South Hams, Red Earth Deli proved a great find. We loved popping in and getting a few treats to go with our 'sundowners'!. Great olives, dips and nibbles!

The best deli around! Very helpful and bubbly staff who are always happy to help. The gourmet meals are superb, not to mention all the homemade dips! Pop by for a coffee!

Well done Red Earth Deli on serving superb coffee! Not only is it delicious but it is also fair trade. The staff are helpful, always cheery and happy to help. I have lived in Devon all my life and love the fact that I can now find a shop that not only sells top local food, but also mixes it with some interesting and exotic flavours from other regions and countries………………….ask for the ‘stinking bishop’ next time you are in……………………….. A suggestion would be that they get bigger premises as sometimes it is so full I can’t get a seat to have my coffee……!

I've been coming here for my provisions since it opened. Can't quite understand the comment below as they sell so many local products seen at all the farmers markets most of the products in the deli counter they make themselves. It's been superb to have a vibrant new shop in the town that specialises in the finest quality local food and promotes Devon's best producers. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun and the coffee is the best around for miles. My family are now addicttd to the Vacherin when it comes in in the autumn.Roll on October!

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. The paninis were exceptional and my daughter Lara's favourite was the Babychinos (with lots of Chocolate topping). Can't wait to go back again.

If you've ever been to Red Earth Deli you won't need reminding of the delicious coffee, yummy paninis or the amazing cheeses! It's one in a million

I haven't known about the deli for very long but now I've found it I wouldn't go anywhere else! The food is incredible and I know that when I have lunch I'll be eating local products, supporting Devons suppliers and escaping horrible additives! It's not just the food though- the staff are friendly, polite and helpful and always bend over backwards for their customers even during the busiest of times. You'd be hard pushed to find a better deli/ cafe anywhere!

Heavenly foods and smooth fluffy coffees. This place is awesome for food lovers. Always open to exploring new tastes, Vig and James will take time out to update you on new and exciting foods. What food is all about.

Red Earth Deli Rocks! An incredibly professional, friendly, knowledgeable and talented team who go out of their way to ensure you find everything you could possibly want or need. The produce on offer is hugely varied and of a fantastic quality with the majority coming from local producers and of a wholesome, organic nature. I do not know of any other deli that comes close to the standards you will experience here. Those 'in the know' about Red Earth are truly fortunate. Keep up the good work!

Try a "machas hot one" panini, niceeeee one - then take the ready made meals home with you. Job done. Cracking little deli. Great food, they deserve to do as well as they do. Dont forget the Heron Valley Apple Juice to wash down the panini

jimheaven jimheaven Posted 31 Jul 2006 1:12 PM

Tucked away down a little high street is Kingsbridge's diamond of a deli. If you haven't sampled the Juincaina Dip (sorry can't spell) or wolfed down a brownie with your latte you clearly are missing out. Also reader, I am a sucker for 'Masha's Hot One' - a panini with bell peppers, feta cheese, ham and melty cheddar which goes perfectly with the Heron Valley pear and apple juice (where else can you get pear juice?). It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Aside from the fat, glistening olives, sundried tomatoes and pesto's, wonderful cheeses, oils and more unusual 'off the beaten track' foodstuffs from all over the globe, the staff really set it apart. Whenever I go there with my kids who order the Baby Chino's complete with fluffy marshmallows (and make a horrendous mess) the girls are so kind. They are always helpful and friendly and seem to know everyone by name and its this personal touch that makes it so popular. We go there week after week because of it. Plus the handsome manager is a mine of info if you want to source something from the region. We love the deli and think its a real A WINNER!!

The range of produce and the quality of the home-cooked items make this the best deli for miles. They will prepare meals for you as well as provide the best ,locally sourced, cheese. The antipasta table is food heaven!

What a find, I wish there were more places like this in the UK. Very friendly staff and scrumptious food. A great excuse to go down to this part of the world.

On our trips to Devon we always stop here to get our picnics to take to the beach or just for a lunchtime snack. Seriously yummy food and some real treats like the amazing dips that cannot be found elsewhere in UK - trust me! Now they are doing delicious ready cooked meals which are great for dinner parties and taste fabulous. A real all round amazing find in the heart of Devon - wish we had one back in Lemaington Spa!

This deli has been such an addition to the town since it opened. They promote fantasic local food, serve it with passion and educate us customers by feeding us tasters, telling us the origins and stories behind the products. I am so pleased to visit and shop here to be part of this local hot spot and enjoy everything they have to offer. Love love love it! ( and the gourmet meals they do which you take home and throw in the oven are to die for!)

Red Earth Deli put the South Hams onto the Gourmet map. By setting outstanding standards of food, service and welcome they have forced other delis in the area to raise there own standards in a vain attempt to emulate them. Brillian concept, brilliantly executed.

Great coffee, and comfy sofa. Interesting and good local foods, especailly local cheeses, as well as a good range of foods from all over the world. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic range of frozen ready meals made by the kitchen, great for time saving and if you don't want to cook, and using local ingredients as well. A great asset to the town.

The Red Earth Dip, (or Huancaina if you are a true lover of the most amazing dip ever) is one of the reasons i love the Red Earth Deli. Perfect with burts chips, bread sticks or fresh crispy baguettes (which thankfully they also sell.) The meals are amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect for a chill out or coffee with friends. It is just perfect all round!

Wow - what a find. Nestled in this wonderful coastal village you will be surprised at the quality of the provisions you will discover. Fill up the hamper with a selection of cheeses, meats and other delights and spend the day grazing whilst exploring the area. Having spent many years travelling - what makes memories come to life is taste - and the Red Earth Deli lets your palate run wild. Enjoy!

im not sure if its the fact that they serve the best coffee in South Devon, or if the folk working there make one feel totally at home. Either way, i recommend it as a fixture on your kingsbridge shopping experience.

It's not often you find a place in the styx with the professionalism and product range to match Fortnums, but there they are, nestled in Kingsbridge. Great food, great attitude, great shakes - I need to go on a diet!

This is Devon's best kept secret which deserves to be shared with the rest of the UK. Top quality food, staff and service sell all the old favourites as well as some unusual but delicious new additions - their signature dip is AMAZING. Great atmosphere and fun place for coffee and treats - this is a top quality deli which I can highly recommend.

A buzzing deli & cafe selling a great selection of wonderful local treats. Their speciality being the finest homemade gourmet meals using local free range meat with no added preservatives made at Red Earth Kitchen up the road. They make by hand the majority of their own products including pesto, homous, their signature Red Earth Dip, salads, scotch eggs, sausage lattice, quiche and much much more! they do a great line in local and continental cheeses, big bowls of juicy olives and antipasti and great charcuterie. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and shopping and eating here is a fun and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
