This "state of the art" shop is far more than a high class butchers. With its home reared/home baked produce....food doesn't get any better than this. Every High Street should have a Scriven & Thornton in it!
This is a first class establishment. The newly refurbished shop is beautifully laid out with all of their excellent fresh, locally farmed meats, home made pies, quiches, cooked meats displayed to the absolute best advantage. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The fresh meat is top quality and second to none. Finding a good butcher is like finding a good hairdresser, when you find them you don't go anywhere else!! If you have never experienced Scriven & Thornton's excellent service give them a try. You won't be disappointed!! Well done everyone keep up the fabulous work!!
Recently refurbished high quality local butchers.Fantastic locally sourced food either hot or cold so they cater for everybody. Only butchers I have ever seen where they have a wide screen TV & UKTV Food playing whilst customers are being served.Friendly staff & good quality food why would you shop anywhere else.
We have used scriven's for 5 years, they supply our pub The Beeches Ashby-de-la-Zouch and in that time we were voted best food pub (midlands) 2005/06 with scrivens quality local meats and pies.
This local butchers is not just your ordinary run of the mill butcher. All their meats come from their own farm, all their pies and pasties are home made and with 30 years experience behind them the staff excel themselves in valuing their customers with very high regard. I have bought various foods from joints of meat and my Christmas turkey to their wonderful Huntsman pie all of which have been second to none. These genuine, quality butchers give a very high standard of old fashioned, personal service. Well done!
A tradional butcher you can trust. No hoof to counter in 24hrs Here! Quality is excellent. Raw/Cooked Meats,Homemade sausage/burgers/Pies Hot & Cold food Service. Staff help and advise, then take time to prepare your joint to your liking. A joy to shop and enjoy the produce. Although a suburban butcher, a very recent and tastful refubishment, leaves it looking as if it should grace a High St in any major city. Visit if you live within driving range you will not be disappointed.
My favourite butchers, their are not many as trendy as this, it's def a must see. They sell everything I need from hot chcickens to a lunchtime sandwich or snack. I like the way everything is cooked fresh on the premises. Their turkey and ham pies is really nice.
They have just been refurbished and have not put their prices up to compensate. Their homemade pies and quiches are lovely. I like their meat as they rear it on the own farms so I know where it comes from.
This is a modern first class shop. It offers an extentsive range of foods and caters for my every need. Their homemade Turkey and Ham pies are amazing. The staff are really helpful and friendly.
Scriven & Thorntons have just under gone a major refurbishment opening their doors to the public 14-7-06. This is now one of the most modern and leading butchers in Europe. The Beef and Lamb are home reared on their own farm. They provide award winning pies and homemade sausage which they sell in the store and provide to local butchers in the area. Their prices are low and their hot beef or pork sandwiches are to die for. They offer a full selection of raw and cooked meats. They have a hot food counters and a full range of homemade pies and quiches. This is a 1st class butchers and simply a must see.
