Chococo is run by a husband and wife-led team, passionate about making fresh chocolates by hand. As well as using origin Venezuelan chocolate, and ethically sourced ingredients, there's a real emphasis on using local produce and you'll find fresh cream from Craig's Farm Dairy, Field Honey Farms honey, Denhay butter, Somerset cider brandy, Long Barn apple & lavender jelly, Bramley & Gage fruit liqueurs and Old Thumper concentrate from Ringwood Brewery featuring in the chocolates. Visitors to Cocoa Central can watch chocolates being made, buy from the shop and now also enjoy delicious chocolate fondues, ice-cream sundaes (with local Purbeck ice-cream), hot chocolates and coffees made with fresh Dorset milk and locally handmade cakes in Chococo's new chocolate cafe. We will be in Dorset (Stoborough) again in September and we aim to visit Chococo for the first time.Their service so far has been first-class and their products unbelievable so we must go and see where all the goodies are made and meet the guilty parties ! It's very frustrating that we have to wait till September, but you can't just hop down from Cumbria in five minutes !

I first came across Chococo when we were on holiday in Dorset, and spent a day in Swanage, it was fascinating watching the chocolates being made, and then spent ages in their shop trying to decide what to buy, the chocolates all looked so wonderful, and some of them are a work of art, and all that we bought were so YUMMY! Loved the Chilli and the raspberry! All that aside I would say that, personal service, regular email newsletters, Delicious chocolates, using fresh ingredients, new ideas and boundless enthusiasm for their products. Nothing is too much trouble, for instance, I telephoned to ask for a selection box for my sister, who has VERY particular tastes in chocolates, and they readily advised me on which of their chocolates would be most suitable, which I thought was fantastic customer care! And my sister enjoyed every one of their selection. They deserve to be nominated, and I do hope they win!
Delicious chocolates, beautifully presented, always arrive exactly on time. Buy my husband the advent box every year and something for Easter too.
The worst of their stuff is very good, and the best is almost unbelievably so: splendid conventional chocolates and really imaginative, unconventional ones. Additionally, the web ordering and postal delivery arrangements have - at least to date! - been faultless.
The chocolates are absolutely fabulous. They find new flavours all the time. Customer service is fantastic. Never been disappointed and can't wait to visit Cocoa Central in person.
Chococo were recommended to me by several people - one of whom orders a lot for her company. I bought my husband a box for his birthday (which he insisted I share - thank goodness(!)) and they were spectacularly gorgeous. Lovely original flavours. Well done them and I am busy recommending them to everyone!

Chococo people are great - friendly and helpful; you can taste and see how they make the stuff with small stools for little ones to stand on and watch. The cnocolate suits all tastes: sophisticated chilli flavour; yummy frity flavours that actually tase of fruit and chocolate dinosaurs for the kids. A must when you come to lovely Swanage seaside town.
On a much needed 24 hour break from my caring role a recommendation sent me in search of Chococo. Thank goodness I went................We purchased only a few but Oh boy the ginger in dorset cream was exceptional, I have never tasted a chocolate like it..................................I'll be back!!!!
These are fantastic chocolates and this is coming from a cadbury's chocoholic. A friend gave us some for the birth of our new baby boy; beautiful packaging and really creative design. the surprise was the taste of the chocolate...gorgeous.

The creativity, the passion and the friendliness. All of the food is yummy - my favourite changes constantly. All the more reason to pop back in and try something new. Best place in Swanage.

Once you have tasted their chocolates, you can't go back! The quality of their products is excellent; their customer service is friendly & always helpful, whether in the shop, over the phone, or their easy to use online ordering system; and the packaging and general brand and ethos is just great. I happily never buy anyone else's chocolates!
My brother introduced us to Chococo about 3 or 4 years ago & we've used them ever since. We live in Dunfermline, across the Forth Road bridge from Edinburgh so we order online. Chococo deliver by post, with panache, & contact me if the weather is very hot or they think the delivery could be spoiled for any reason...wow! Chococo make the most delightful selection of chocolates and their marble cake is out of this world. I havent had the pleasure of visiting their shop yet but after seeing one of their products advertised in a magazine I looked on the website and pre-ordered some items for christmas. Excellent service and fantastic products. Andy & claire offer a very personal and dedicated service. I have recommended them to all my family & friends & will continue to order from them.

One of the highlights of our visits to the beautiful Isle of Purbeck. Delicious chocolates that are beautifully presented. We discovered the marble cake on our last visit - the mini ones are perfect for one or two (although probably you'll only want to share the first time). Can't wait until my next birthday when I'm hoping to get one of the full size ones!

Great quality, imaginative flavours, the best ever marble cake. We had Chococo favours at our wedding - they looked beautiful and tasted even better.

Chococo is one of those places, a truly excellent find, that you want to keep to yourself! I have been visiting Swanage for over 30 years now but since Chococo opened it's the first place I head for when I arrive, and the last place I go to when I leave. The shop is well worth a visit if you're in the area. Now they do mail order as well, how perfect is that! The service is excellent both in-store and on the internet and you'll find all the products to be the very best you have ever tasted. Make sure you try them soon.
Best chocolate, best customer sevice, prides itself on using local produce and caring for the environment. Not only that, even though I am in Oxford, I can still get these amazing chocolates delivered quickly to my door by using a brilliant website. And on top of all that, they have a handwritten card enclosed. Claire and Andy understand what makes people happy and consistently provide it. Long may it continue!
I'm totally addicted to chococo chocolates!!! I live in london, but have family in swanage.... I make any excuse to visit so I can pop down to the town and get some treats!! These are by far the best chocolates I have ever had!!! I LOVE CHOCOCO!!

A little bit of heaven on earth
Can't get to Swanage to experience Chococo? They have brilliant website--slick, modern, colourful, and easy to use! I bought the 6- month subscription 3 months ago and it is fantastic. Chococo's beautifully packaged, seasonal treats monthly through my letterbox--YUM!!
Forget Willy Wonka. If you want the real chocolate factory experience, then visit Chococo in the centre of Swanage. With all chocolate prepared and sold on site, each line carries in depth information on the cocoa bean used and its country of origin and taste discriptions that would put any posh wine list to shame. If this alone isn't service to chocoholics above and beyond the call of duty, then there is an extra treat in store as you can view the kitchens and watch these chocolates being made. I defy any lover of chocolate not to feel weak at the knees at the site of the three big churners, churning the milk, dark and white chocolate. With very friendly staff and the most delicious chocolates ever, Chococo is a True local hero and one who has brought much needed happiness and sugar rushes to many.
This is the best chocolate shop ever!!! It is so scrummy I got my mum to drive 3/4 of an hour from my house to it on my birthday. They have such a variety of chocolates- my favourite being chilli tickles. It's so fresh and walking into the shop is like walking into heaven
This shop sells the best chcolates I have ever tasted. We drive about 30-45 mins just to get them. The prices are amazing for the quality of chocolates. The flavours are delicous. Only the best ingredients are used and it is renowned in the area.They have many different types of Coco, from many different countries. The staff are always friendly and there are lots of demonstrations and viewing windows. These are the ultimate chocolates. Being a chocoholic myself, I have tryed plenty'a chocolate, but never as good as this. if you're in the area it's worth a visit.
