View all reviews (10)Have been eating beef, pork, lamb and chicken from here for a few years now and the meat has always been good. Tried one of Ann's home made lemon meringue pies on my last visit (it was still hot when I got it home) and it was FABULOUS!
Mrs Swifts Pork Pies & Faggots are always asked for. the best place for old spot or saddleback pork in the area especially the belly pork. Ask any of the butchers in the area where they get goose from for christmas you always get told its from whitegates. the beefs well hung and the free range chickens are fantastic! all from the farm shop who are very helpfull if you need burgers or sausages of any flavour speak to them they will make them up and even drop them off on the way home!
I used to buy my wonderful free range egss and home produced bacon from Whightgate Farm years ago, now they have developed into a wonderful farm shop. The meat and chickens are mouthwatering but you mus try their Duck it is brilliant ! Well done to you all, your hard work has been worth it.Wishing you all of the best for the future. Lex
An honest business selling honest produce. We now buy all our meat from Whitegates Farm. There are good butchers in the area, but this family run business embodies the spirit of real food and only very rarely have I tasted or cooked better.

The beef and pork are great and their own farm-reared chickens are tasty.
A friendly family firm, producing their own, home grown, duck, chicken, lamb, pork and beef. A credit to the farming industry. You only have to see the queues down the A5 during Christmas week to understand how good their produce is. The family are trained butchers and all serve in the shop. A wonderful service at all times and cracking meat! I do a 20 mile round trip just to get my meat rather than go to the local supermarket - there is no comparison.
