Their ‘Traditional fish and chips’ consists of beer-battered haddock, real chips and tartare sauce and their ‘Steak, kidney and mushroom pies’ are individually made with short-crust pastry and served on bubble and squeak with real gravy. They have quoted Gordon Ramsey as saying, on leaving their pub: “There's not a beef, a Yorkshire pudding anywhere in the Country that could match what you served me for lunch today".

a good variety of well cooked and presented tasty english food - some simple and some more unusual in comfortable surroundings and offer value for money.
Hidden gem, with wonderful food, excellent quality staff and very helpful owners. Worth travelling, as in my case 40 plus miles to. Although dogs are not allowed inside owners will provide a bowl of water for your pet without a hesitation.
Lovely place, great atmosphere with fantastic food
It has such a warm atmosphere and is run by two very enthusiastic people, providing excellent locally sourced food.
the food is excellent and uses local produce, and for £13 for 3 courses you cant go wrong
