With a succession of awards over the last few years, most notably this year’s scoop of ten gold awards at the Great Hampshire Sausage and Pie Competition 2007, this family-run farm shop shows it’s intense devotion to producing good food. They sell beef, pork, lamb and chicken from their own farm, and have recently begun making ready meals and traditional puddings, which sit alongside their homemade lemon drizzle and apple cakes, bacon, sausages and pies, all of which already have award-winning status. They also stock cheese, biscuits, bread, fruit and vegetables, with any produce not from their farm, sourced locally, where possible.

Newlyns is everything the previous reviewers claimed it to be and has just doubled in size to incorporate a cookery school and a cafeteria. Courses are pitched at all levels including a 'fend for yourself' course targeted at university students. I'm fortunate to live in one of the villages nearby and can vouch for the infectious enthusiasm and unfailing commitment of the Jannaways. It seems the entire family works there in some capacity or other. This place should be regarded as a role model for local enterprise and service to the community. I've been using Newlyns ever since they opened and have never been disappointed. I once needed a specific cut of lamb for a special dish I wanted to prepare. Chris invited me 'round-the-back' and cut precisely what I wanted from a carcass. Next time I went in he wanted to know how it went and showed a keen interest in why it had to be that particular cut. If ever you're near junction 5 of the M3 just make a quick detour and see for yourself.
newlyns is a truely brilliant farm place - the complete country farm shop !!! it helps out all the locals buy selling their (wide choice/variety) produce and offers local jobs. everyone is very friendly and help you understand where your food has come from and what you can do with it !!!! i think they shoud definitely win !!!!
Fantastic Staff, meat, vegetables etc....everything you need without the food miles ! If you haven't been then it is a must.
First Class Produce from a great family business, food miles, more like food yards ! Even though I'm in Scotland, we always drop in when we can, not to be beaten....
I love this place. The staff are always so interested in what recipes you are cooking and always ask how they turned out. Their black pudding and sausage rolls are the best!

Newlyns is an excellent farm shop.They have their own farm reared meat,they sell wonderful bread and cheeses, and fresh veg.
