Nigel’s hotpot recipe celebrates Lancashire’s culinary heritage and is a particular favourite to enjoy at the restaurant, decorated with the art of Michael Fryer. Vegetarians are also treated to a wide choice and seasonal menus ensure that customers get the only freshest of local produce on their plates.

A menu from which you could select every single dish and the feeling that your custom really does matter. Just keep doing the same, but keep on trying to do it even better.
The food is to die for. The staff courteous but friendly and to sit in the winter by the fireside and comtemplate the menu starts the evening wonderfully. The dining room is lovely with a view over the garden where Nigel grows most of his own salads and herbs. Also he uses Lancashire produce wherever possible. Everthing is freshly cooked and mouthwatering delicous.Even when Nigel is not around his staff maintain the very high standards.

The food is consistenly well presented, delicious, imaginative and locally sourced. The service is always excellent. The whole Northcote experience is superb!
We have stayed at Northcote on numerous occasions, the food is exciting and different,not to mention delicious! with a vast wine menu. Nigel Howarth supports the local suppliers. If your looking for that special memorable night out then this is the place to go.

My favourite place, have been going to Northcote for 13 years, if I need a tonic, its the only place to go. Wonderful food, service, in fact thoroughly spoilt always. Can't wait for the next time.
As someone who uses the manor both personally and professionally for hosting events - the service, support and quality is superb. Whilst run highly commercially, one still has the impression of quiet efficiency and good manners that make it feel more like being in the home of a very good friend.
Quite simply one of my favourite places on the planet. Consistently outstanding food together with an amazing wine list and the most relaxed and informal, yet perfect, levels of service. It's a difficult trick to pull off and I'm not sure how they do it, but I'm so glad they do!

It's the food, the food, and always the food - even when Nigel's not on the stoves himself - it's 5-Star Plus. The rest is O.K., though I preferred the former decor in the restaurant, primarily blue tones.
We had a sensational time at Northcote manor. I did not think restaurants of this caliber exsisted this side of the Watford gap yet here it is. They have the whole package and the food is outstanding. I cannot reccommend this place enough!

not too small but so cosy & friendly, like going to your Aunts for dinner but being served the most amazing food.
Consistently excellent. Food is creative, beautifully cooked and as locally produced as possible. Staff are knowledgeable, and the accommodation is extremely comfortable.
