The Wellington Farm Shop

Farm shop

Selling: Preserves

This farm shop sources as much of its produce locally as is possible - their beef is from the Hereford Cattle on the farm at Stratfield Saye, and the lamb and pork are also sourced from local farms. They have a range of cheeses all from the South of England, the Village Range and the Two Hoots being particular favourites. The shop also stocks bread, milk and some organic produce, all sourced locally.

They sell an extensive range of local produce to a very high standard, including organic produce. Fresh seasonal fruit & vegetables sold only. A lovely setting with a tea room & very friendly, knowledgable, dedicated staff. Surrounded in a beautiful setting close to the Wellington County Estate & Park.

10 out of 10 in every way. Being a farmers daughter it is wonerful to be able to buy really fresh produce again, and what is in season. It is also great to buy cheese that is produced in the next village, before the farm shop opened the nearest place to retail it was Harrods! Staff are always friendly and helpful.

I moved to the area a few months ago and have been shopping there ever since. The butchers Phil and Paul are fantastic and the information available is stunning. I love everything I buy there and would not dream of feeding my family and friends anything else. It's great value for money and fab to browse for inspiration. One of my main criteria for future house purchases will be within a 10 mile radius of this shop!! I adore it.

Its fab to find a local butcher, Phil always has time to make suggestions and help where ever he can. We collected our Christmas joint on Christmas eve & they cut our meat fresh for us as we waited. A good selection of local fresh products,& lots of different samples to try. Staff very friendly & helpful. Thank you

The meat, fruit and veg from here is excellent and beautifully presented. Staff are friendly and helpful. We no longer shop at a supermarket for fresh food and really enjoy the farm shop experience.

Have been shopping here weekly since it opened. In fact, have stopped buying meat at the local superstore as Wellington's produce is far superior. My wife loves the venison, but I say Phil's pork and black pudding sausages are to die for!

WHAT AN EXCELLENT SHOP! IT'S GREAT TO FIND A LOCAL PLACE THAT STOCKS LOCAL FOOD, AND IS RUN BY LOCAL PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR SHOP, QUALITY OF SERVICE, AND THE PRODUCE THAT THEY PREPARE AND SELL. THE STAFF ALWAYS ARE WILLING TO HELP ME WITH ANY QUERIES, ESPECIALLY THE BUTCHER, PHIL. HE CAN ALWAYS SUGGEST A RECIPE OR A WAY OF COOKING THE MEAT HE PREPARES. HE'LL ALSO REMOVE ANY BONES WE ASK HIM TO. IT'S GREAT TO FIND A WONDERFUL LOCAL BUTCHER. SOMETHING WE HAVE BEEN LACKING FOR A LONG TIME.

I have had food from here on numerous occasions and always been more than happy with the quality and the service. I have to agree with the person above Paul the butcher is more than helpful.

The quality of the produce and service have made me change my shopping habits completely - it very rare these days that I venture into Tesco's - and then only for household products!

I work next door and oh my! What a quality shop! Paul the butcher is particularly helpful and the food is simply divine.

A good selection of local foods plus olive oil from their own estate in Spain. The sausages and cheese, all from local artisan producers, are particularly fine and the staff are helpful and knowledgable

The butcher there is second to none - always happy to advise on meat - even showed my son how to make sausages on a slow afternoon trade wise - run by one of the granddaughters of the present Duke of Wellington - good selection of produce, very fresh and extremely friendly staff
