The Cheetham family has farmed at Haughton Park Farm since 1923, but it wasn't until 1988 that they started Thaymar Real Dairy Ice Cream. They now produce over 35 delicious flavours of ice cream and sorbets. Using fresh milk and double cream straight from the neighbouring dairy, they add quality local fruit and Italian pulped fruit flavourings for varieties like elderflower and gooseberry or strawberries and cream. Buy them at the farm shop or enjoy them in the tearoom.

the most delicious ice cream, made with natural, wholesome ingredients, in delicious, mouth watering flavours. Can't decide? they will let you try as many little tastes as you like, and they will patiently while you try and finally make up your mind!
Friendly staff and wonderful food. Usually there are some fancy chickens in the garden wondering around...
I love ice cream, I always have and eat it as often as I can. I can honestly say that Thaymar ice cream is the first I have tasted that actually made me do a double-take though. The flavours are so vibrant and actually taste of the fruit rather than the interpretation of fruit that most ice creams give - not that it stops me frm eating them! I can seriously find no fault at all with Thaymar, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the produce is just out of this world! I only wish I had discovered it sooner - 2 months now.
The food here is delicious and the choice is outstanding. High quality ingredients, tasty and good value for money. Then there's the ice cream! Well what a choice - and every one just as delicious as the last. You can even buy some to take home with you. Well worth a visit and when you've been once you'll be hooked. The kids will also love to visit the chickens!

Really excellent ice cream with a huge range of flavours (and the blackcurrant and vodka sorbet is worth a try too!) The tea room serves local produce, is always busy and set in a pretty location. When life gets too tough this is where we escape to. Go see for youselves!
Fantastic variety of top class icecreams plus sorbets for those post-holidays when icecream is too much. Plus a cafe on site for great home cooked, good value meals and snacks. One not to be missed -but book a table for lunch as the locals will be there before you!!!
