Millers is just a top class butchers. The team are so helpful and friendly - if they don't have what you want, they'll get it for you. It makes such a difference to know that their meat comes from totally free range and organic sources-happy animals make fab meat! The quality is fantastic-after years of supermarket meat, the difference is amazing-they are my local hero by a long way!

I have shopped here for my meat for the last 11 years, and it is always a great and easy shopping experience. Andy and his team are always friendly and extremely helpful, and the meat is always excellent. Christmas would not be the same without their beef and turkey....Great place, hope they win the local hero accolade. Clare Kristensen

I've been shopping here for 12 years and have rarely bought anywhere else. The meat is excellent and Andy and his staff are very friendly and always willing to help and advice. I'm an OAP and a carer for my severely ill daughter, so now am virtually homebound. I really appreciate being able to get organic meat delivered to my door. Nothing is too much trouble for them and evryone is so kind and cheerful it makes shopping a pleasure. Jo

The staff are wonderfully friendly and very helpful. Go into the shop with no idea of what to cook and you will receive fabulous advice and superb meat. This is a very special shop and well deserving of being recognised as a local food hero.

Can't beat the meat!Andy and his team are experienced and very helpful. I have an order almost every week packaged and delivered to my door.we have a full range of meat and condiments and deli items and his food ready for the barbeque is melt in the mouth and full flavoured. My children love his chicken nuggets and meat balls and i know I am giving my family the freshest meat that is fully organic and additive free. The bacon is fab and the steaks yummy!

Never been disappointed with the delicious, fresh, quality produce. I rarely if ever buy meat from the supermarket now (where the packaging often disguises the size of the cut of meat and you don't know enough about the origin of the product). I regularly have chicken, lamb, pork and beef delivered to my door. Online ordering is easy and convenient. The prices are extremely competitive with the supermarkets and the quality far superior.

I love finding an excuse to shop here. I am not sure which I value more, the quality of the food or the service. The latter makes the prices seem worthwhile even at the time so that I still leave with a smile but the real proof is in the eating and that's when I feel most grateful for having made the effort. Their beef fillet survives even my cooking to deliver melt in your mouth heaven that is dangerously moreish. I always have to order far more than I supposedly need and it's still a battle with the whole family, guests and even the dog to make sure that I get my unduly large deserts. I am grateful to Andy and all the team. I should also like to add that apart from the quality of the food I have witnessed two other "heroic" moments, one in very generously supporting a local charitable event for children and the other in keeping an even temper and smile under enormous pressure while calmly dealing with and amicably fixing the fact that my wife had got her Christmas order wrong. Quite remarkable amidst a baying horde on what must be the busiest day.

A family butcher, whose young owner demontrates vision and customer focus. In addition to supplying organic meat of a consistently outstanding quality (I have taken sausages on request to Holland and Finland and beef to Scotland!), the shop also provides a good range of complimentary groceries and the best olives in town. Customer service is at a premium from staff of all ages who are both knowledgable and skilled. If you don't see it, ask, for Andy will get it. A deserved nominee.
