Pretty Mary's
Selling: Home-Cooked Dishes
Built in 1899, but refurbished and renamed after the local fort, this is very much a food-driven public house with a traditional front bar and a comfortable back lounge. The regular menu's supplemented by specials like shepherd's pie with honey roast vegetables, and braised ham shank with champ and parsley sauce.

I have returned many times to this establishment for the very high quality food,as I have two small chidren knowing that they are eating good quality, homemade fresh produce, in a welcoming smoke free environment what more could you ask for?
This pub is everything you want in a small village. It has a friendly atmosphere, great food, quality service (with a smile) set in modern yet charming surroundings. One of the nicest time of year to visit is Christmas when they have a brass band playing carols in the lounge while you can sit be the open fire enjoying a bit of Christmas spirit. Well worth a visit, 5 star :-)
