Pretty Mary's

2006 Regional Finalist
Gastropub

Selling: Home-Cooked Dishes

Built in 1899, but refurbished and renamed after the local fort, this is very much a food-driven public house with a traditional front bar and a comfortable back lounge. Ham Shank how does he/she do it? It is mouth watering, succulent and the best I have tasted. Chicken Pie to die for and as for Thai Curry- perfection. Staff friendly and relaxing surroundings. Ps. Happy birthday Marian

This pub is everything you want in a small village. It has a friendly atmosphere, great food, quality service (with a smile) set in modern yet charming surroundings. One of the nicest time of year to visit is Christmas when they have a brass band playing carols in the lounge while you can sit be the open fire enjoying a bit of Christmas spirit. Well worth a visit, 5 star :-)
