The Duke Restaurant
Selling: Home-Cooked Dishes
Though the menu offers meat choices, it's the seafood, fresh from Kilkeel, that's king here. Specials like baked hake are accompanied by steamed asparagus and roast butternut squash cream while turbot comes with sautéed Savoy cabbage with bacon, and a sauce of Armagh cider, cream and chervil.

We look forward to a night out in The Duke - more than anywhere else we go to eat. The experience is that good! The menu is constantly changing, adding new ideas while still retaining one or two favourites. If you are eating out in the Newry and Mourne area, there is no better place to do it. Keep it up Duke!
The Duke has lots of good quality's from it's delicious food to it's friendly staff. It's well worth the money to go to the Duke and have a splendid meal with great service!!! The Duke really does deserve to win this special competion! 5 star quality
I had my staff dinner at the duke around Christmas, and i have to say that the food was absolutely spectecular- something very different!!i was definately very pleased and can't wait to get back for another beautiful meal, ciaran is an outstanding chef!
FOOD GREAT BEST FOR MILES AROUND,HOWEVER THE FLOOR STAFF APART FROM A GIRL CALLED EUNICE ARE USELESS. WISH CIARAN WOULD SORT OUT STAFF
We have ate there on many occasions and have always found the food delicious. My thanks go out personally to Ciaran who recently went out of his way to help me when I had a flat tyre. He found me a couple of men who had me on my way in no time, without him I would definately have had a long wait for any help. Thanks.
Iv never had a bad meal in The Duke, one of a kind!!
This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Their starters are exquisite, their fresh fish dishes are exceptional and their steaks are mouthwatering. If possible, leave a little room to taste a dessert - you won't regret it!! Service was excellent and the staff helpful and polite. Overall pricing is definitely affordable. A restaurant not to be missed.
